Thank you that is some very useful info oon planting the berries and I plan on trying the method starting tomorrow. You see I was checking my raspberries on my peaceful path through the woods and came across some wild straw berries growing in my spot for y grapes. I tried transferring the plants but they are dying in the strawberry pot my dad told me to put them in. By the way my raspberry production is over 8000 berries on average and I regret counting. Anyways your article seems to be very persuasive so I'm gonna try what you said especially because their tasty and my mom says she will make jelly out of some.

Hi Susan! I am very glad that my article has helped you to take the right decision! Don't get rid of the strawberries! I've planted about 20 rows of them last year.
Unfortunately I don't know if making jam or jelly out of the strawberries remove the cancer prevention agent, but I think it doesn't.
Take care and enjoy strawberries! :)

I bought some Ozark beauties last year and only had enough for 1 and a half row. So I dug up a bunch of my wild strawberries and finished out the second row with them. Man, they have trippled. I ended up giving some away and making myself 3 more rows.
The reason I thought I would mix in the wild is that thinking being tended to they might increase in size of the berry. Wrong! They are so small I want to get rid of them now. But after seeing your post about the medicinal purposes, I am having second thoughts about that. I know the Indians lived here on my land in NW Arkansas as I was told there was a old Indian burial ground here too. I also have wild blackberries. I missed out on them the last few years but hope to get some picked this year. Would making jam or jelly out of the strawberries remove the cancer prevention agent? I know you said freezeing wouldn't hurt them. I have chrones and I will eat all I can of the strawberries from now on. Thanks for the info...........Susan
